i put some civic seats in my d50 and they sit too high my head almost touches the roof. any ideas on how to lower them?

take the rails off and build new ones

When I put a bench in my seat, at first I couldn't fit. So I ditched the sliding rails, and made 4 simple brackets that bolt to where the seat rails were, and bolt to the stock seat mounting locations. You could drop your seats pretty much to the floor if you need to. You just sacrifice the sliding option, which I didn't use in the first place.

ya i was gona say if you take the rails off how do you slide it? so basicly the seat is just bolted to the floor?

Yup. I'm too tall to slide the seat forward anyways, I have to have it all the way back. If you build it to yourself you should be fine, if you indeed need that much room.

Or you could make some low profile sliders like this.

well my girl drives my truck too so i need the sliders. anyways i just got done i hacked of the mounting tabs on the rails and just put a peice of angle to bolt it down lowered it a good 2 inches. much better.

I've been needing to lower mine also to accomodate for the bodydrop. I'm thinking Just section the rail and weld it back together..
