2006 Saturn Vue questions

My new company car is a 2006 Saturn Vue v6(Honda engine)front-wheel drive automatic. I have a few questions for anybody who has one or knows about them:

1: Is there any way to remove the speed-sensitive volume control on the stereo?

2: Is there any way to increase the maximum volume on the stereo?

3: What do the "L" and "I" on the gear selector mean? ( yes, I looked in the owners manual, no help there)

4: Are there any CHEAP of free performance mods to do to these?

L means low gear
I means Intermediate gear
You should be able to cycle through the menu on the radio and turn the volume control off.
You sure about that motor, never heard of a saturn that didn't have a gm motor.
