I don't know about astros, but S-10's fuel pumps were wired in a series with the taillight. check to see if it is out.

I will check the tail lights. Or at least the fuse to the tail lights. Thanks

are you using the v6 computer? does it have a chip? the chip could be bad if thats the case.

Yes it still has the V6 in it.I have talked to the Chevy dealer here and they just want to change out the hole computer.

i got a 79 toyota and the fuel pump went out the day i bought it,..... i got an inlione fuel pump from kragen, wired it up and stuck it just before the fuel filter, works great, and it was like 60 bux, just wire it to the ignition switched.....

I was told that I could not do a inline because of the computer and smog here in Cali.

A blazer we did had the same problem. Turned out to be the licence plate light. Same thing as the tail light. Just happened the when the light went out, the filiment shorted the plug out. Also check the silly grounding strap toward the rear on the driver side of the frame.
