yup, OBS crew cab short bed, i really dont know what to call if for ?/? ton.. guessing 3/4 now with the new axle?

anyways i got some progress on my 4 link front mounts the other night. will be working for a little tonight again. i am goin with a rear canti, i studied everything for a night at the shop, keeping the K.I.S.S. theory in mind for the frame, it rode damn good b4, not much room for bags inside the rails, more stability, and i am gonna change up some bar ends to pivots to fix the binding/bushing wear i had with sides. wont hit as much sides anymore but that is a weak point with 6 links.

are there pros/cons to super pivots from various places or are they all the same? example, suicide doors, gravity werks, outlaw motorsports, ???

looks like it is coming along nicely.
The one i am building is a crew cab 1/2 ton. Its just an extended cab frame extended 13 inches and then plated on the inside. mine is a step side though. i'm doing a remake of my brothers old truck.

again nice work.

thanks again for the comments guys. jsut reading up on johnny joints/super pivots and found a good page with lots of details for selection, the video from "john" the creator of the johnny joint, is not so great of speaking but pretty informative, bout 5 min long. i really like the setup with joints on both ends and one being LH thread with jams.. anyways, off to work for a couple hours!

edit/addition

i found the how to article.. http://www.s10forum.com/howto-assemble-a-super-pivot-jointalso dont need a table with a threaded hole, jsut lock a nut down in a vise.. lol...!!!

im doin a rear canti so no issues here with bags on bars. most likey using polys up front on the bars and the pivots on the axle sides. the dog legs will also use pivots on the axle side.. i think.. i worry with wear on the polys and the force of the bags that the pivots will allow side/side sway movement on the canti bar. A thought i have to cure that, is a solid 3" delron bushing at the rear of the canti to keep the canti bar stable and the pivot on the axle tab of the dogleg to allow sway. with my old setup, side demolished the canti poly bushing..

hmmm.... maybe use the pivot on the rear canti bushing instead??? the bag will flex and that was the bushing that took the beating???

progress!been werking behind closed doors on some things.. We completely re-organized the shop, built some shelving and i can now move all my seats and parts in my garage at the house to the shop so i can park in it. need to build my work bench yet and get a bigger roller cab.

LS1 swap, and trans are in. 383 stroker idea is dead and goneCab is in place, and clears driveline with some trimming!Next to do is make a driveshaft carrier/hanger bearing x-member and then start on the rear of the frame and get it finished up.
