Will be starting the install of CanDo's trans mount & a-arms , along w/ front bags on my 88 Toy,next week.(A long time in coming)! Any advise or photo's on this install? Never have removed a-arms,also plan on keeping the e-brake somehow!

just by the looks of them, they'll install the same as my BYC's & i can post up pics tonight when i get home.

as far as the ebrake, i'm assuming you're asking about the tranny x-member & all i did on mine was cut off the tab on the factory one (where the slip-clip goes) & weld that to the new x-member. then i took a 6" chunk of 1" square tubing & welded that to the new x-member too. then i drilled a 3/8 hole in the end of it, slipped the shaft of the pull rods (Y looking thing that the cables hook to) into the hole, put a couple washers on it & a NEW e-clip you can get at lowes or anywhere.

hope that helped. if it made no sence, just let me know & i'll take some pics for you.

good luck...

also do you still have all that chrome windshield trim lying around? i'm finally almost ready to put in my glass.

p.s. you accidentally posted this twice if you want to delete the other one

I dont know if Steve told you this or not, but for the lower arms,he told me to put the shafts in the freezer the night before so they'll shrink and be easier to go in. (I know "thats what she said" somebody was gonna say it)Then theres two sleeves were the original bolt for the lower arms went.Theres a metal sleeve inside a rubber sleeve, the metal sleeve you should be able to pound out, but the rubber sleeve I used a little torch and melted it out cuz it was easier, a little messy but easier. Other than that they werent that hard to put in. Have fun man. Cant wait to see it fully laid out!
