i want to upgrade from my 1/4 firestone bag to a new bag with a 1/2 port any ideas? i was hoping to find maybe something that will make it lay alil lower also..was it firestone or slams that have the new ones that compress the most

also ive read on this camaro forum that different brand of 3/8 valves can out perform eachother is that true? i figured 3/8s is 3/8s

slams have the internal bumpstop, so i don't think they compress the most. you can lay low with any bag, but if you go from firestone to slam with the same brackets (or cups, i'm not sure what camaro's take) i think it'll sit a little higher when compressed (not sure about this, someone who knows more about this needs to help, sorry), so you'll need to stick with firestone unless you want to do new brackets (or cups). I'm not in the loop about a new bag that compresses more than other's, sorry i can't help you there

I know when i went from firestones to contitechs they compressed the same but when i changed to slams it actually raised my truck although not much very very little bit it was still a diffrence in dragging frame or not

oh really? hmm for some reason i thought i read somewhere about a bag that compresses more...
would you think all firestone bags are roughly the same? i just want a bigger port...or can you drill them out larger?

run contitechs, they have 1/2's. even 3/4 or dual 1/2. And they appear to have a smaller diameter if they are in tight spots. Their bags are a 2 ply bag and can be had in 4 ply versions. I hear they have like a 600 psi burst rating or sumthin.

And yes, different valves, different designs, different performance.

I am running slam RE-6 bags in the rear of my mazda 6 they ride great and got no problems so far. They are suppose to be the best bags out there. But then again its your preference.

firestone bags like the 2500's and 2600's are 3/8" ported and the bag your refering too is airlifts new dominator bag it looks like a mix between a slam bag and firestone

also on the valves the valves could be ported for 3/8ths but the orriface on the inside can be larger or smaller giving you higher or lower flow rates

im not sure which version of firestones mine are they have 1/4 ports..they came with the cool ride kit that air ride technologies offers for my car

and thanks for the valve info..i was just always curious why my s10 dumps so much faster then my car when my car weights alot more they both have 3/8 valves but they are different brands
