I got pulled over last night for listening to my music in my new jetta, to make this long story a short one i will give you details on what happened!

1: Picked up a friend from the bus stop at a local mall, had my stereo at 3/4 loudness or less, got pulled over by 5 police cars in the mall parking lot "started with one and ended up getting 5"

2: the policeman told me that if he could hear my music at all outside of my car "No matter if he is 100 feet away or standing at my door" then I will be slapped with Jailtime and a $1000 fine along with losing my car over it *Looking for the law that states this right now because its new to me*!

3: i told the cop the car was 100% stock and i just bought it, and he said it does not matter if its stock or a competition sound system, if Anyone can hear it out of your car then there is jail time to be served

What the F*** is th world coming to, it is now illegal to have a stock vehical here in az?...as i was pulled over i heard people playing their subs that the cops didn't bother with...these silly laws are getting out of control...i cannot believe that my tax money is getting wasted away on throwing people in jail for enjoying their new car!

I went back in my friends car and watched them arrest people for the same thing that i got pulled over for "Metrocenter mall had 46 cop cars patrolling it that i counted in a matter of a hour" and they arrested people for playing music and not turning on their blinker in the parking lot "Cant say if they hd other things in their car that contributed to the arrests but i counted 13 people got arrested in the hour i was there, and that was just on one side of the mall!

is this the future we can look forward to...its turning out that even stock cars are becoming illegal...what are your thoughts on this?

everyone in Phoenix take this experience as a warning that it can happen to you, i am not sure if the cop was feeding me a line of bull or if this is a serious offence now "Only time will tell"

Yea.....I live in Mesa and about 2 years ago I was on my way to work around 6 am and my radio was about 1/4 of the way up and I stopped at at a light behind a cop. Just before it turned green he turned his lights on and got out of the car. He said "If you don't turn that shit down I will arrest you and impound you car"! But I got away with it. I think he was just ending his shift because we right by the Mesa PD.

Normally parking lots are basically safe areas since they are private property, so any traffic violations shouldn't stand. Thats only because traffic violations are covered under the highway traffic act, and doesn't cover private property.

You better be careful from now on, or you could end up getting sued by the music industry for unauthorized broadcasts...
