no sir you assume wrong , we hand built the bedsides from plate, we used to bulid custom dump truck boxes so this was pretty easy we just copyed the deminisions off his 53 and added to it

ah i see. I'm in a dilemma as to what to do with mine. I either need to take 8 inches out of the frame or add 8 inches to my bedsides.

we sat a orig long bed up on the frame and it didnt look right , to us it looked better as a longer bed
