can anyone tell me how the bag mount goes on the ibeam? i have the djm dream beams and SDs bracket is too thin to fit over the beam. is this the way it goes or am i totally wrong?

yeah you put the lower bag bracket on the beam under the upper bag bracket which would be on the side of the frame. so your probally ganna have to modify a lil bit if it doesnt fit. the dream beams are round right? is the lower bracket for a stock square i beam. it proablly is.

yeah, its round until you get to where you mount it to the frame

You may wanna consider getting the square drop beams because in time the round dream beams will bend

first off, i've had a set of dream beams for 5 years now on two different trucks, one daily, then bagged, and now on my current daily. put the sd brackets on them cut them off to use on a static drop, i'm also really hard on shit... basically what i'm trying to say is that my dream beams have been through hell and back and they are fine, not bent only problem is that i need to replace the pivot bushings.

second, the sd brackets don't slide over any part of the i beam. they sit in the corner of the square part, with the bag plate leaned back. then the flat parts on the i beam will be flush and you can butt weld everything together.

personally i don't like the sd brackets i think the bag is too high and has too much of an angle on them. however, i have seen them work well and reliably, you just have to make sure everything is perfect.

i didn't like my sd setup, but i hated the camber laid out on i beams along with all the other shit more so i just cut it off and put the yoter clip on there, but thats a whole nother story.

i don't think i have any pictures left of how mine was setup on i beams but if you go to this site---> http://www.rangerpowersports.com/forum/index.phpyou should be able to find plenty of pictures.

oh yea, and round tubing is stonger than square. not my opinion, just physics.

yeah, i've heard the yota clip is the way to go, so there is no way to correct the camber with the ibeams?

ya the bracket doesnt slide over the beam, it butts up against it. also theres absolutely nothing wrong with the dream beams, theyre usually prefered because they clear the undercarraige easier. theres no way you can get rid of the camber when its layed out.

also the statement that round is stronger than square is generally wrong, but right as well. square is stronger until you put it on its edge, then round is stronger, but most of the time the square isnt on its edge.

that sucks, now i get to eat up tires when i ride low
