Hey guys

I have a 77 F100 with a cleveland in it, has a flat tray on it (home made). A mate of mine just got himself an 86 with a fairly rough tub and he wants a tray back.

Obvious solution is to swap tub/tray but what I want to know before I reef these trays off is, will the 86 tub fit on my 77 frame?

Anyone know?

If I remember correctly you can put it on there but you'll need to drill new holes in the bed for the mounting bolts because the frames are different widths. And of course the body lines won't match. I hope that helps, I'm sure someone else will be along to offer some more help.

Frames are different I believe. Your main concern should be wheelbase. The body lines aren't going to match up either........73-79 had a good size indentation and early 80's had a rather small body line...atleast here in america...

Off subject, if its a '77 the clevland aint original, last year of the clevland was '74, unless you are down under

I am an Aussie, so yeah

I'm pulling the clevo out anyways for a 460.

I thought about the body lines, might just pass on this one and keep looking for a dentside tub...
