im going to be putting a 350 small block into my ext cab mazda b2600, what rad would best fit in there? im going to upgrade the rear end to a ford 9" but had no idea how much i have to narrow it in order to tuck 20s. my truck is body dropped 3 inches and it lays rockers on 15s at the moment, will the 350 stick out of the hood to much?? im going to try to mount the motor as low in as possible.

thanks.

About the rear end, if you don't have it already, look for an 8.8 rear from a later square body Ranger (I think a 90 or so). You could use any rad that was made for a V8, its not going to be stock anyways. I'm not too sure about the motor though, I haven't put my 302 in yet.

im not to sure if any rad will fit, im looking for a bolt in rad kinda deal..

what is everyone doing for exhaust? i dont see a hole lot of room under there.. looking to put maybe 3" flowmasters.

I believe that the older Corvette rads are narrower. But as far as bolt in, the rad is going to be automatically deeper than stock since it would be a 3 core instead of a 1 core for the 4 cyl. I know the thing about exhaust, mine is on flat rocker now, and there is maybe 4" between the ground and bottom.

how much should a rad set me back?? has anyone else had trouble with theyre exhaust???

notlowyet.. you said i should go with a ranger 8.8 rear end will this have to be narrowed or is it ready to go? looking to lay on 20s.

The Ranger 8.8 was 90-92 I think, and the 7.5 from earlier square body Rangers will fit with a decent offset. They are around 3" narrower or so than the stock. I have the 7.5 and a 225/40R18 with a 45 offset, and I can fit my hand between the tire and bedside no problem.
