Carb Issues ?

Be careful adjusting the idle it may never run right again there is a bar that blocks the adjustment screws for a reason they are finicky bastards. Usually when it starts idle high it is a vacuum leak or stuck choke. Does it smoke a little when you rev it up? sometimes the valve guides will leak making smoke go through the tubes that run up to the carb putting smoke into the carb which makes it richen up thinking it is cold. Also check the wires to that hunk of shit on the air cleaner if you unhook any of that stuff they will run like shit and do all kinds of weird stuff.
