Any of you guys have a 98 or before gm or chevy layin on 24"s w/out losing or moving the a/c box under the dash on the driver side? If so how did you do it,,and any pics?
My boy has a sierra layin doors with 22"s and has a/c.
factory a/c? And did he have to move the a/c box?
Anyone have pics of any alterations that they had to make to the box?
on mine i just removed the box behind the blower it has a vent that switches it from the blower to another vent that goes up to the cowl i still dont know if will work but i dont see why it wont and i used the factory box u just but off the vent thing
All you really need to do is modify the box to get the tub to go in. YOu'll most likely loose your recir. option. Which is the vent that sucks air from the cowl. The core of the a/c_heat is centered more so toward the center of the firewall. Only thing behind where you'll need to tub is the plastic housing.

The man speakes the truth. I am bodydropped on 22s and all I did was take off the vent for the recirc. The wheel needed to be right where motor was to switch from inside to outside air. Now the truck is on full time recirc and it works fine.
thanks for the info guys. big help
