first of all, there is a common problem with 99-current model full size GM trucks.when i turn there is this clunking/rattling noise that can be heard and felt through the steering wheel. i had it replaced on my 99 and my 05.

my question is who makes an aftermarket one? i know there was a company that makes or made one with a better design that didnt go to shit in 20000 miles. if it helps i seen it in STREET TRUCKS MAG a couple of years ago but i sold all my street trucks so looking for it is out of the question.

CHEVY HAS A TSB FOR THAT. THERE USED TO BE A SPECIAL GREASE, NOW THEY SAY TO "EXERCISE THE SHAFT". PULL ONE END LOOSE AND TAKE IT FOR A WALK ON THE BEACH. HAHA, JUST COLLAPSE AND EXTEND THE SHAFT ALL THE WAY, ABOUT 10 TIMES OR SO. REINSTALL. SOUNDS STUPID BUT I FIX A DOZEN OF THESE A WEEK ON ALL GM'S. IT WORKS
