I was wondering if the AWD transmissions could be used as solely a RWD transmission... Any help would be awesome.

hey trey, i am not 100% sure but 99% odds no it cannot.

why not? it is set up like a regular rwd tranny but it has two axles coming out of the side... ? seems simple enough haha

when you take the axles out of the side where is the fluid going to go that is held in by those yokes with seals around them?
Pp_Laynbody   +1y
weld the axle yokes flush with the output shafts and just have the rear drive shaft... liable to work... maybe

what will hold the yoke in as it spins? maybe if you cut the yoke off and made a retaining ring to hold it into the tranny. i dont think that is very safe though. what are you trying to Mr. Pp_layinbody Hmmmmmmmmmm?

Just trying to find out if that sumbitchin transmission will do what i want it to do... can't pop a wheelie with a AWD vehicle and my days are spent conjuring up how i'm gonna pop another damn wheelie.

STI Trannys are AWD on demand you can disengage the front to allow it to be only two wheel drive
