Any sweet tricks to pulling the counterweight(i guess you could call it a "crank" ha) off the main motor shaft?

I got the set screw out but the motherfucker is seriously stubborn.

If nothing else i can just cut it off. I just wanted to check to see if there was anything special that helped GET IT OFF

can you fit a small flat head in the crease where it goes over the shaft?

i've never looked in a viair, just the DC7000, so it may be different

Yeah I can. I've done that with one on each sde and twisted them both REAL hard and it still won't break loose...

I've tapped it with a hammer around the whole counterweight, pry'd at it, yelled at it a little...I think I tried it all except cutting it off...

Try heating up the counterweight with a propane torch to get it to expand- i think they're heat pressed on from the factory, so that might work. Good luck!
