I just purchased an 89 toyota that has the cab bodydropped 3.5".the truck is already notched with a reverse 4 link. it currently has stock wheels/tires. when i lay the truck down i notice the drivers side tire is just barely touching the clutch master cylinder.im gonna run at least 18's so i have to relocate it. i wanna see what you guys did with yours.i have the new issue of mini truckin where they move it under the dash.i have also seen pics of it moved higher up on the firewall. opinions?

The best way to do it is reverse swing under the dash, but it wont be fun changing the fluid. Mine is raised up as you can barely see in this pic but the best one I have seen is Bobbys from Sadistic Iron. Also if you just have a body drop to the pinch you should just raise it, you should clear 18s and not as much work.

thanks for the reply. when you raised it did you modify the stock pedal assembly or did you just build a whole new one from scrap? it seems like the pivot point of the pedal would have to be higher.

i do the clutch pedals for 300.00 plus shipping and the core. so it sits under the dash. you just have to redo the steel line or i can include a rubber line for 35 dollars

ive done em both ways..and bobbys method is the best i think..and really..how often have u ever changed your fluid in it?

I put mine under the dash. Its right behind my heater vent so its easy to get to. and really think about it, how often do you have to put fluid in it? and it also cleans up the look of the fire wall.

I raised mine and moved it towards the engine. You can also put a smaller master cylinder in if its a small bodydrop, that might work.

Going in, it was the part of the bodydrop that worried me the most, but it ended up being pretty easy once I understood how it worked.

I was worried about it also, but in the end it was a very simple process.

go to parts store and buy a new one for like 15 bucks that goes to an 86.they are like 2 inches shorter.plenty of room to lay without tire hitting it.
