The engine bay is tight to begin with, so putting anything bigger in would take some serious fabrication. In my opinion, your money would be better spent on a good turbo or supercharger setup.
While you're at it, get an Echo final drive for the transaxle- it lowers (numerically) the final ratio, which will make that power a bit more usable.

Back when I had mine, I had a grand vision of an EJ20 Subaru WRX engine mounted in the back, with flared arches and a tubular subframe... then reality set back in and I sold it!
