thomas 327 rebuild ?s

my boss gave me an older (3 yrs-ish) thomas 327 compressor. its got a toasted cylinder bore and piston ring. valves are good. electric motor is good. no leader hose. im getting ready to set up my ramchargers air system and im wondering if its worth buying the parts to fix it, and who would be the best place to get them from. it looks like id have to change the whole connecting rod and piston with seal as a unit, but i couldnt get the snap ring out to get the rod off. any help?

buy a new one. you can get a viair compressor for cheap.. me personaly would waste the money on rebuilding the other one you have

well, im gonna be running an ac comp as my main. like having a backup electric, and it was free. does anybody know if their are rebuild kits available? i dont care if its slow as balls...it would be a backup.
