You will need to Z the frame at the firewall to mak it lay flat.

Don't remember exactly.....just get the truck laid out on the front crossmember, then tack on some steel supports to hold the front of the frame in place directly ahead of where you want to cut. You will want to make your cut close to the firewall straight down 90 degrees to the floor. when you get your cuts made the rest of the frame should lay ( assuming you have already addressed the tranny crossmember) and still be butted directly to the front clip, only a little lower. Tack it in place and measure how much it dropped and write it down, Then weld it up, gusset and plate. Then take the measurement and cut the front frame horns directly behind the core support where the radiator sits and move it down an equal amount before welding, gussets and plating. You will probably have to move the motor down a little or cut a little on the hood supports when you are done in order to close stock hood if you are bodydropped.

If your front cross member has not been drug yet, its about 1.50". Bout you can cut about .50" off the bottom if you want to.

you should stock floor it while your doing your Z. knock out 2 birds with one stone, and then you dont have to worry about head room.
