The front x-member hangs about 1.75" lower than the rest of the frame, and the y pipe hangs a little lower than that. So for the truck to completely layout you'll need to z the frame. Also, the gas tank hangs lower than the frame in the back. Other than that, it's pretty straight forward, just trim the spring pockets real good.
You can use fullsize chevy cups in the front. And dakotas don't like fuels cells for some reason, unless you use the stock pump, so you're better off just relocating the tank.
On the rear end, drivers side there is a brass fitting that splits the brake line, and the vent for the axle tube comes outta that. If your doing bag over axle, that got in my way so I had to relocate it.
I can't think of any major problems I had when doing mine, and i was the first vehicle I've ever bagged.
