I shaved my door handles on my 93 toyota using the protocal kit whith a lot of problems over the last year with it... yesterday while my wife had my truck getting gas the relay stuck and burned all the wiring and popper on one door before the fuse finally blew. I could have lost my truck over it so it is now completely out. so now I need to know which kit to get and where to get it from. whats everybody using? I need something thats reliable and safe.

if you do a search for shaved door handles, you might find that this has already been asked but my .02 worth would be Autoloc

yeah its getting a server error every time I search and The hoffman group makes autoloc and protocol so its gonna be the same. the kit I have even says autoloc on the solenoid because I sent them back when I had a problem and they sent autoloc ones back to me but the relays and buttons and everthing else in the 2 kits is the same.

Im going to have to go with Spal as well. I have had them in my daily driver yota for 5 or 6 years now and NEVER had a problem. They are easy to hook up and also have some Aux outputs to operate other things if you want. here is a link to them. I would SWEAR by these poppers. Best on the market if you ask me!http://www.a1electric.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=AEOS&Product_Code=shaved40
