how many valves per bag do i need for good handling.because when you bag your truck you loose your sway bars right?i rode in rolo's b2600i.it is low plus it took corners, passed cars like it was a sports car.that's what i want in my truck.to be abke to lay frame plus car handling.any suggestions?

one up, one down, per bag, that is. at least thats how ive always see them. haven't seen very sports car like handling on many though. but thats just me. its a truck anyway.

valves have NOTHING to do with what you are talking about

yes and no. running 2 valves per bag reduces air transfer and body roll. to handle well though, you are going to want to retrofit some sort of sway bar front and rear as well as have a decent set of shocks all around. the rear 4 link will also need to be set up properly.

valves just control the fill of the bag, you use the switches and gauges to set the fill pressure to your desired ride height, you can still use a sway bar in the front, however it limits side to side, but for handling that is what you want. and if you mount shocks in the front, you can still have a good ride. well as good as a ride as a bagged truck can give.

not starting anything, but i hate comments like that. it gives a connotaion that bagged trucks will always ride like poo. which is completely false. my bagged isuzu rode and handled WAY better than my stock sonoma. then, the bagged s-10 i had did ride like poo. its all in the setup. i set my pup up with shocks on all fours, kept the sway bar in the front and had a 4 link. i bought the s-10 with intentions of fixing the setup that was on it, but was then forced to drive it. it had no shocks, a 2 link, bag on axle with 2600s. it would shake the fillings outta your teeth.

so, you can make a bagged truck ride and handle great if you go the extra mile and set things up correctly.

You couldn't be more wrong.

You want every bag to have its own fill and dump valve, so 8 valves total. This will give you individual control. I know I've never been in a bagged truck that sat level with equal pressure in both sides. So it lets you level it out properly. Also, if you have your front or rear bags tied together on a 4 valve setup, you will get body roll when cornering as the air transfers from 1 side to the other.

The best thing to do would be an 8 valve setup and then try to maintain a sway bar. But depending on the vehicle it isnt always possible to keep a sway bar and still lay out.

Also good shocks on all 4 corners is a must.

Well I was comparing the ride of my truck and a few others I have rode in, some are a bit smoother than others, but I personally have not riden in anything that rides like a Caddy, I'm sure they are out there, just havent had the opportunity. no offense taken.

when my mazda was drivable it handeled great 8 valves, front sway bar,and 4 nice shocks. I know my monte carlo doesnt lay frame but it handles and corners great 8 valves, BIG sway bars front and rear and 4 Edelbrock shocks.

LMAO u must be new to air ride huh?valves have a lot to do with handling. if ur runnin a 4 valve setup on the vehicles with no sway bar,it will handle like doo doo, even with a sway bar it aint much better, because the air from eash bag is still emptyn goin into lines and valve durin a turn.
