I'm working on a 01 Silverado right now. The guy drug the plastic tank pretty bad. Whenever I filled it up with gas, its leaking barely. I was wondering if there is anything I can patch it with. I thouhght I read in a truck magazine that there is a resin that fixes them. Anybody know if that's true.
i punch a hole in mine on my ranger and i tryed everything in the world to fix it had no luck
rub a bar of soap on it! everyone should keep one in there glove box
they also make a two part putty crap that once you kneed together it gets rock hard, specific to patching fuel tanks.
werd. i have tried everything in the world and they didnt work for crap
BUT rubbing a bar of soap on it fixed it pretty darn good. I even rolled with that fix when it was raining and it didnt leak.
Seal All I found it at walmart said gas and oil on it my tank had a good drip that I didnt even take the tank out just put it on there and put some good tape over it so it wouldnt drip of its kinda runny but works great
jb weld or bar of soap should work
they sell plastic weld at advanced it works great
