NARROWED REAREND ???

WHATS THE BEST WAY TO GO ABOUT GETTING MY HARDBODY REAR NARROWED? I'VE CHECKED AROUND A LITTLE LOCALLY AND NOBODY SEEMS TO WANT TO HELP. WE HAVE ONE RACE SHOP AND I CAN'T GET A HOLD OF THEM TO CHECK. ANYBODY GOT ONE BY CHANCE? THANKS

I am getting the rear shortened in my truck right now, the best bet is to pull the axles and dif so nobody else has to and take it to a machine shop that already has a jig for rears. Call currie or mosher to get new axles made.

You could also try to find a 6 lug rear that is narrower and use that instead (Ford Courier maybe?)

the courier rear and the 81-87 isuzu pups have a very narrow rear end

Moser will do it and you get your axles shortened by them too. Very quick turnaround on there axles. I narrowed a toy rear for my nissan. I turned down some pucks on my lathe that fit where the bearing fit and used a 1 1\2" x 6' cold rolled solid rod to line them all up then welded it all up. Worked liked a dream.

since your in valdosta.. you should try to get ahold of Chase up in albany and ask him dont really know how to get ahold of him maybe someone reading this will know

moser is the best place to order your axles by far but as far as the housing i always dothem myself i charge 800 including new axles 400 if you get your own i use a 6 inch tubing cutter for the housing that way i know its straight

what about the gear ratio in another rear.can it be off mauch or at all?any measurments on a rear i could use? one with rear disc would be great.
