I was wondering if anyone uses one or has heard any good/bad things about them? I am looking to get a welder and saw they are considerable cheaper than the big name brands. Just curious if that was for a reason or not?

i have one and i love it i was also skeptical about buying it i got a 220 185 amp on ebay for 250 and well worth every penny. some people say that the gun dosent feel as good as a lincoln or hobart but i really dont care it does the job. these welders are italian made not china garbage

got the 135 at work and it welds pretty good im still sketched on thicker material so i always bevel the edges to get proper penetraion never had a prob up to 1/4" you just gota use a lot of heat and take your time im about to use a 185 for my truck hopefully it works as well as the 135

i have the 135.. i bevel stuff even when i'm using the miller 351's at work. it just lets a smoother welder and penetrates better.. I welded my whole backhalf, 4 link ends, tabs, etc single pass with gas and welds perfectly fine. not 1 crack.

351??? geez, i thought my 251 burned hot...but potter is right, even with a bigger welder, it ALWAYS pays to prep your metal correctly. i did my back half with my old 135 lincoln...you can do it, but a 185 or higher
would be a little better for framework.

at the shop we use 2 phase welders for work. we do various frame things, along with 1/4 and 1/2" plate work to stiffen public trans buses.. but the welders dont even seem that big, they are smaller in size then the miller 306's we use to use.

yeah, 185 or bigger is deff better, but for guys who only have 110v access, the bigger 110's are alright for most things.

i'm actually going to get a hobart handler 187 here shortly.
