With your stock lights or custom lights? LEDs is the best chance you have at being visible and white. Just use a clear cover with Red LEDs, thats all i can think of, hope it helps

if there is a toner on your bank called weak white you should be able to tint a clear coat weather it be urethane spot pannel clear or just a base coat clear you should be able to do it , i have done this with weak blace and it works slick. if you use a finnished base coat with all the binders in it you will cover the light and kill the effect it has to be a toner by it self in a base clear or actual clear coat it will spray like a candy color the more you put on the darker it gets you dont want to totally hide the red taillight you want to "smoke" the light, a good tip for rookies doing this rig up bulbs to put in the light bezzel when its hanging from the stand and spray till it hides the red well but light is still pretty visable. good luck

Thats gonna be a tough one. White is just naturally opaque. My best guess would be to create a 'weak' white by adding small amounts of white base coat to an intercoat clear. Then spray it on very lighty, trying to get coverage without adding to many layers. I would experiment with some junk lights first.

Why not buy clear lenses first then do a light coat of white over them... mixed into an intercoat clear... that way it will take less coats to cover than if they were red.
