Ok, The new product were working on here at Barely Legal Fabrication is a drop in replacment for your upper balljoint. This drop in replacment will feature a spherical bearing, just like our uni-joint control arms.

We finally got around to all the good info that we were hoping to find out this week.

Technical Info and Specs
Ok, With what we had in the shop, we were able to find out that by simply taking out your stock balljoint, and droping in one of these kits, you were able to lay out on a 255-35-20 Tire, with NO MODIFICATION to your upper control arm , not only that, but we were also able to lif the tire off the ground more. So, in the long run, Dropping in these balljoints to your STOCK control arms, and making NO modifications to the uppers, you are able to lay on a 28" Tall tire. We did this testing with a set of modded stock lower control arms, and Drop spindles.

We were not able to gather any information on what this product will beable to accomplish by droping them into a aftermarket control arm such as SD, ART, BYC .... but we can only assume that the overall diamiater will increase, becasue these Balljoint Killers simply get more travel than a Power Performance balljoint.

The Spherical bearing we use, is a Teflon lined, 100% sealed unit. I know alot of people were worried about not being able to grease the unit, but i assure you these will outlast your standard aftermarket balljoint by 3x the life span, even without the greasing capability. If the buyer requests we will also offer a seals-it cap for the top of the bearing to prevent any dirt from collecting on the top of the bearing, they will only add 10$ to the price of the kit.

Pricing:
For a Uni-Balljoint kit, which is enough to do both of your upper control arms, the price will be $150 . Keep in mind that with this, you are not only getting new replacment heavy duty balljoints, but you are also gaining the ability to beable to lay a large wheen and tire combo without modifying your upper control arms at all. The kit will be powdercoated black, and will be directly ready to drop into your upper control arms, no pre-assembely required. The shaft and cap for the kit will be given a black Oxide treatment, to prevent rust, and to make it look good. No more bare metal !

Pre-Order Info:
Due to the fact that we are super super swamped at teh shop right now, we are offering this first batch in a pre-order status. Meaning, we will not start production of these kits untill Monday the 26th. So, we will be taking names on a list up untill that date, and then on that date we will be calling and collecting money for the kits, and that is how many kits we will make for the first batch. We are mainly doing it this way to gauge interest in the product, if we see that there are simply too many orders, and we need to start full time production of them, we deffinentally will.

So, if you do want one of these kits, I request you do this:
Send me an email at tjardas@charter.net with your Name and Phone number we can contact you at on Monday the 26th or Tuesday the 27th or Wendsday the 28th, and an approximate time that is good for you also.. When i call on one of those days, i will be collecting money for the order, and taking your shipping information for them also.

From the date of the 26th of november, we are estimating that the kits will start to ship out 2 weeks from that date.

I appriceate everyones interest in these, let me know what you think.

These kits for other makes and model vehicles will be soon to follow. S-10 got the first set because we thought that they would be the most popular right off the bat....all you other guys, your fullsize trucks and minis will be made SOOON!

They probably wont be available by reso....currently we are working on a control arm package for the colorados, using uni-joint uppers and these drop in uni-balljoint lowers.

they may be available by the end of next month......maybee.

Every time I look at a picture of these things, the only thing I can think of is the control arm-to-control arm geometry being thrown out of whack. Maybe even camber issues, orrr.... something else. Anything noticeable?

I'm not necessarily interested in a set, but they do look well-built and purddy.

No camber issues came up when we installed them, essentially this just drops in place of your stock balljoint, and just gets more travel, its not in a different location or anything, and none of the toher specks are different either. The seat point on the shaft, to ware it goes into the spindle si the same as stock. It just looks super tall in the picture because there is no conrol arm thare to refrence.

its all good!

I'd be interested in getting the uppers and lowers for a toyota. Please let me know when they would be available.

73-87 Chevrolet C-10 ones would be awesome, any idea on timing for those, no rush, just curious.

All i can say about other model vehicles is:

SOON!

fullsize chevy trucks are next, then probably toyota minis, and then C-10 trucks...

they will all come eventually, with time.

thanks
