2wd valance

whats the difference from 89-91 and 92-95? any pics?

I want to say that the all the 89-95 2wd bumpers were the same. I know that the 4x4 bumpers did change...the 89-91 bumpers were a3 piece-(top) & the 92-95 were a 1 piece-(top). Here are some pics of the 4x4 bumpers & a 2wd bumper...

the first posted picture is 92-95, if you look at the pics of my truck in profile it is 89-91. There is a difference in valances but the bumper is the same.

was there any with a steel lower valance?

also, mine has the center bars cut out, there is originally 2 bars, the 92-95 is one thicker bar and it flares out around the bottom, 89-91 is flat to the bottom

mine is a 94 valance and it is steel. i welded it to the bumper and made it 1 piece. they are 30 bucks or so. thats what i paid for mine new

89-95 2wd upper is the same. 89-91 and 92-95 valances are different. 89-91 4wd bumper and valance are diff than 92-95 4wd bumper and valance. 90-92 4runner is the same as 89-91 4wd. 93-95 4runner is different. its the only one of that bodystyle that has a plastic valance. most were available with chrome or paintable uppers, and chrome lowers available aftermarket. hope that helps. i personally like the 89-91 4wd all shaved and smoothed.
