I use the "Iwata custom micron series".....Like they say......."absolute presision for the elite profesional" The CM-C Plus is truly the best airbrush I have ever used......a bit more expensive than the eclipse, but well worth the money!!! "Lost Cause"For the elite professional who demands precise and accurate control of very detailed spraying, this Custom Micron Series brush is built to be the "best of the best," hand-tested and adjusted by the world's leading airbrush technicians. Special machining processes along with the meticulous hand-fitting of the parts create an airbrush with superb atomization and incredible control. By removing the crown cap and nozzle cap, this airbrush will spray an entire range of stipple effects, from very fine to coarse textures.

That all depends on what you're going to do with it and what you'll be spraying. My favorite for illustration work is an Iwata Custom Micron. For automotive paint it's the Iwata HP-C. I haven't done t-shirts in years but back in the day it would have been the Passche VL-3.

I definitly agree with sean. It all depends what you are looking to do with it. I use an iwata eclipse hpb with an iwata compressor. I also have a micron, but I am not experienced enough to do it justice.
To get started I would just recomend the iwata eclipse series either the gravity fed hpc or a bottle fed hpb

yeah,I deffintly didn't start out with the "best" airbrush....It took years before I was good enough to need an airbrush with such precision. At some point I just felt like it was my airbrush that was holding me back (I just couldn't do the fine detailed stuff I was after) I used the HP-C for years. It's a great airbrush wheather your a novice or a pro....it's cheap too! Thanks, "Lost Cause"

^agreed^ You can't go wrong with an Iwata HP-C. It's a great all-around airbrush. It's the workhorse at my shop. Make sure to get the new HP-C 'plus'. It's got a few more features that the older models don't.

^^^I wish they would have had the "plus" series back in my HP-C days!!! "Lost Cause"
