i just put a 4 link on an extra cab 720 with the bags over the axle and its shoving the driveshaft into the trans causing the trans to leak fluid.and also the pinion angle is changing enuf to roll the axle causing the bags to collapse really crooked.is this all caused from mounting the top bars to low?it is a forward mount tri 4 link setup.the top bars are mounted to the inside of the frame with the supplied brackets.
That can definately cause that, but it can be from other things as well. Are the bars close to parallel to the ground at half travel? It sounds to me that they are probably still pointing down towards the front.
i think they are pretty close to parallel at half lift, they angled up to the axle at full drop.the bottom axle brackets were pretty long though, kind of close to the ground,so maybe not.
i just adjusted my ends so the axle was back more. and it was still ruining my seal so i cut my drivshaft 5/8 when you air out your axle will move forward quite a bit if you have uneven sized bars
is it because of being an x cab that the driveshaft needs cut?i had a freind a few years ago with this problem on an x cab yota.think the 720s carrier bearing is trying to come apart also.
