WHAT WOULD YOU CHOOSE AND WHY?

I would go with Sikkens. I had better luck with their products especially color matching. U-pol is a generic Sikkens product that is great, too bad I can't get either around here anymore.

I say PPG,...only because I like to stick with what I know and I know PPG is the shit!I have never used sikken so I can't say anything about them. But I can say that I have been using PPG's products for years now,and have never had any problems . And I use there DBC 500 binder for almost every thing I do....... "Lost Cause"

The only bad thing about sikkens is the prep work involved. For instance, all their metallics have to be prepped to 800 grit when PPG can be prepped with 400 or 600 without showing any scratches. That's the only downfall of their product to me.

^^^^i wouldnt spray ANY brand metallic over a 600 grit scratch without a coat or two of a clear colorblender...we use ppg at the shop im at and i love it..every brand is gonna have some colormatch issues here and there..ive sprayed sikkens a few times and its nice stuff..but id stick with ppg if was up to me..ppg is also alot cheaper than sikkens...

I used Akzo Nobel when I was first learning to paint. Good stuff, IMO. But I was slightly biased because the guy that worked there hooked me up with free stuff all the time, lol. I learned the PPG system at school and I really liked it. I would have to say I like PPG slighty more because of avaiability.
