I know a few people have done this swap & i can't use the advanced search in the owner profile to find them all but What all is required in the swap? I know the obvious01-04 radiator support01-04 headlights & corners01-04 grill

The rest is what i'm not sure about. Has anyone modified their stock hood to accomodate the 01-04 grill? Everyone i've seen uses the taco hood. Does it bolt right on to the factory hood mounts? What about the cowl? I've seen where you splice the 2 fenders so i understand that. Just wondering if anyone has used the stock 89-94 hood. Thanks

Yeah the only pic that you can almost get an answer from the pics is the 4runner one. It almost looks like they use no cowl @ all which leads me to think it may look a little unfinished since there will be somewhat of a gap. I've seen all those pics from yotascene which helped out a lot since looking through every profile on here is painstakingly time consuming. pics of the build would help if you had any detailed pics. Wondering if mounting the hood requires any mods. I was contemplating trying the swap with the stock hood so i was wondering if anyone had pics to see how it may look. Thanks for the help. I might try photoshopping it on my truck.

whats up man its chezee. to do the front end you need to cut the top of the 90s fenders and flow the taco fenders in there and i dont think the hinges line up at all. and you have to use the taco hood i know steve has the headlights and corsupport for sale i got the bumber and corners lights and grill for my 80s yota and my 90s yota i am running a 99 front end. but hit up bob grant for more info and i do not think you need the cowl.

I was telling him the same thing when I last saw him Chezee. But he said he wants to do it a little different than everyone else. He wants to use the stock 89-85 hood, and possibly mold the front of the Taco hood onto his existing hood, and do the same with the corner lights. Keep more of a stock look.

oh ok i see thats what i am doing i am using the outside of the 80s hood about 1 inch and i am using the middle and front of the 03 hood. so he is doing exactly what i am to my 80s as he is doing to hsi 90s. what i thought of doing is suiciding the hood and just haveing the hood go stright to the window. no cowl or if need a cowl just weld it to the hood

With my hood we used the 04 hood and stretched it 7 inches to cover up the cowl and lined it up perfect with the bottom window trim. Then radiused the hood corners. We then suicided the hood using honda civic trunk hinges so it dosent flip over the grille and bumper like those buick hinges do. It just flips str8 up. Shit worked out.
