Get a normally closed switch, run the power off your ignition switch and it will open the switch powering the switchbox when you turn the ignition on.

Put in a 5 pin relay and run the power to the switch box from the 87a(center) pin, This will have power when the ignition is turned off. Run a fused 12v constant power to terminal #30, ignition power to teminaal 85, and ground terminal 86, if you need you can hook up an accessory to terminal 87 it will have power when the ignition is turned on only.

I just ran my switchbox power through a toggle in the dash. That way I can adjust it when I want and cut the power to the box when I need to. Same idea as a box with a built in lockout switch.

This is absolutely correct.

Thanks for all the ideas and help. I think I am going to go with a locking switch in the power line to the box. I don't really want it, but I do need to get my truck to pass inspection. Thanks again........Aaron
