subframe the front with like a 85 to a 93 i think toyota front end thats how i did mine it works great cant beat the control arms man

Either Yota or mustang II clip. I have a 95 and doing tubulars moutns up front because SD mounts suck. You need new tranny x member and radius relocators. Check out www.rangerpowersports.com for more info in the lowered section. Also Joel(illblazer) can help you out. JIMMY

In reguards to this, couldnt he just use the whole frame of a newer ranger? or is the wheelbase off?

no...its the same wheelbase...bumper mounts and motor mounts are different...but the 98+ isnt the best choice in swaps.

The frames on the 98 up Rangers are longer than the pre 98. The wheelbase on the 97(if its a regular cab) are 108", the regular cab 98 up's are 112" The best choice is Toyota front, you can pick them up cheap, and they work great.

well, i was assuming. but i know the motor mounts and bumper mounts arent the same. lol. jason knows, he's the max fish of the rangers....haha

ya i wish i would have known about the yota clip before i bagged mine. deff the way to go, i have a 98 with nasty ass camber and i spent too much on my frame to clip it. either way u go good luck rangers are one of the worst trucks to bag but they look so cool laid out

what else is needed other than the yota clip? i know spindles are needed but what else?
