I've seen tons of chanelled f/s's but no S10's...

Also I saw an S10 a while back where the owner lowered the floor under his seats 3 inches...but of course now I can't find it and the search never works for me.

Just lookin for info

Thanks brothas

I personally like the look of a stock floor body drop. Just use box tubing for under the cab or shorten and box in the factory frame

The floor on my '88. I sectioned 2.5" of the frame right below the seat area and dropped the seats down that amount, plus more with the new floor. All 16ga. with 1"x1"x1/8" framing.

Waiting on my Lokar shifter to come in so I can cover the trans. and driveshaft.

Me too, I'm with you 100% man.

Unfotunately, I have only done 2 stock floor bodydrops. One on an 05 Frontier and one on a 94 Ranger-both of which were full frame-off builds. The problem is, this truck is my daily so it can't be outta commission more than a few days...

Not saying it couldn't be done-i'm just not super familiar with stock floor's like i am with traditional's

Thats why I'm here

Thanks for the input and any more i can get i'll take, thanks guys

I built my floor like this to gain some headroom and to make the carpet lay nicely when I get to that point.

Between dropping the floor and lowering the seat mounts I gained back 3 inches of headroom with a 3 1/4 inch bodydrop.

Your truck is the one i was talking about i was looking for so thank you Chris!

Aright so if i decided to stock floor it, is there still a reasonable amount of room for exhaust(it has the 4.3)? And is the tranny tunnel the only thing that has to be raised?

I don't have any finished pics of my friend's Hombre, but this is how much needs to be cut out to channel it. He says he will never channel another truck.

Wow. Yeah i understand why...

So did you build any kind of frame for your floor or with all the sections it made it strong enough?

I didn't build any framework for the floor but I did make sure all the seat mounts are reinforced so there is no flex in the floor at all.

I never planned on showing anybody the floor, but my wife wouldn't take the Prelude to Drop Zone so I had to bring something.

I wish I would have just cut the whole thing out and rebuilt it. It would have been much less time consuming and it would look a lot better.

Hopefully next year I will be able to drive the truck again

My buddy channeled a newer s10, you can;t even tell w/the carpet in and it lays hard.
