I have a set of Mazda drop spindles that are being used with a set of Cando control arms for a customers truck at my shop. The upper arms use S10 ball joints for more travel over the stock mazda joints. The taper on the two is close but not the same. I will have to send the spindles out to have the taper drilled to match but I need to know what the measurement of the taper is or how to measure it myself so I can collect up the proper ream to do the job. If anyone who has done this before or has machining experiance can help me out on this it would be apreciated. Thanx in advance.

I like the look and quality of the BLF unijoint setup, its just not necessary for this aplication. The Power/Performance joints have all the travel I need, they just don't match the spindle taper is all. I'll try calling Cando or BLF on monday and see if I can have the 7 degree nunber confirmed. I had considered doing the job myself in the drill press if I could get the correct taper ream but I don't want to risk messing up a drop spindle. Perhaps I'll try it out on a stock spindle first to see if its going to work. I'll let you know what I wind up doing and how it goes, thanx for the replys.
