i got the drivers side this weekend.all i did was used a hemer and dolly and tapped the factor quarter in a little bit and then set my new one on the line.i don't know if was the best way to do it,but its on there.i also replaced the rocker and door on the drivers side.

Id cut it off even and butt weld it all tacking till its solid. An overlapped joint is a place for moisture to develop as well as being thicker which heat will affectly differently and it may show up a ghost line when it gets hot out in the sun

i was gonna try that keef, but that jap skin was pretty thin compared to the original quarter.
