Wyotech

Starting next october I will be going to Wyotech. Has anybody here been and what is your input about it?

I went to the original WyoTech in Laramie in 2001-2002. It's really accelorated and you better have a good foundation of skills when you get there.

Scenary is awsome! Go rock climbing at the lincoln head (east of Laramie)

Went to Nashville Auto Diesel College which is pretty much the same thing, hated it.. i had to push myself to learn because they where so many kids there that didnt..
Instructors cant always teach by the book which they did at nadc.. had to people start with me that went to wyotech and said they had the best equipment but the instructors there didnt know shit about using it lol
all in personal opinion i guess but your better off finding a decent fabicator and simply watch him.. thats how i learned what i did.. went to nadc knowing more than some of the instructors.. got some paper saying i know the stuff but whats that going to do? lol

ha, well its not wyo or nashville deisel... But when I went to school for autobody at the local comunity college it consisted of mostly chasing the girls in the cosmotology program.. everything i learned was from different shops ive worked at thru the years and self taught..

I graduated from the Blairsville campus last December. The town was a shit hole, but overall the school was good. Had some fun times and learned a lot of good information. If you're pretty new to the whole automotive world, then you'll come away with a huge amount of knowledge.


By far though, the best thing about going to any tech school like Wyotech, NADC, UTI etc.........are the people you meet and the friends you make. In nine months, I met some of coolest guys I've ever known in my life! Since I've been out, I've visited two of them in Tennessee, Had a buddy fly in from New Jersey to go to slamfest with me and in a few short weeks, I'll be flying out to Arizona to go to Reso with another school buddy who lives out there.
