im looking at getting a new camera. so far i think that the Nikon d40x is the one. what do you guys use or recomend. also could you post up some sample pics taken with the camera you mention.thanks in advance

if you want a nikon d40, then a better option would be the canon rebel xl... i have a nikon d100 at the moment and i'm in the process of switching over to canon. i've shot with a few and have grown to them.

ot the best camera in the world, but it does what i need it to...mine is a Canon Powershot G7!

damn...dirt looks 3d lol like its on the photo and not in the photo!

i love SLR's but cant see myself buying a $1500+ camera

thanks for the input guys.

dougy(or anybody else who has used both)-what is it you like better about the cannon compared to the nikon? i have researched quite a bit and everything that i have found points towards the nikon.

My good friend is sellin his camera. Its really nice we took a photography class last year (high school) and its what he used.

I work at a photography studio that's very well established, and the head photographer swears by canon. I'm not sure exactly which model he mainly uses, but it's upwards of $8,000 IIRC. Now I know your not about to spend that sort of money but that fact is going to make me look towards Canon for my next camera upgrade.
