PLEASE HELP ASAP TITLE ISSUES

Im talking to this guy who wants my truck, he wants to trade. but with his truck there is no tittle cause he lost it and its a 90' model what al would i have to do to get a new title for it ????? whats the year now that you can have a bill of sale is it still 1987??? every biyt of info is appreciated

I think the best thing to do on that, to CYA is to go to the DMV and file for a lost pink that way it is all legit... That is what I would do

have him go down to the DMV and get a replacement title. its like $20-30. that is if the truck was in his name at some point. if not, its a long drawn out process, including court.

make sure you get the pink before you trade. i have heard stories of people trading. then going to dmv and finding out the truck was stolen or has a buttload of tickets and fines.

I have bought a few cars with no titles, got a form from the dmv (forget what it is) and had the police come out, check the vin, and if all is clear they sign the form that it was checked and you can get a title off of that. You also need a bill of sale. But if the dude is not local to you, make him get a "quick title" from the dmv.

have him go get a title b4 you trade. that simple.

I totally agree make him get the title before you trade with him or you might end up with a truck you can use or if it is stolen be out of a truck period

yeah here you can go down to the dmv and in about 5 mins and ten bucks later you have a duplicate title and your on your way
