yea yea yea a super common topic, but the search function doesnt ever work, so can someone tell me the amount of bodydrop for a 2nd gen s10 to lay rocker? just barely resting on the ground....
you know, some people wanna "lay hard" or whatever so their rockers get pressed flat, but the rocker has a slight curve to it, and with 22s all around, any extra room is nice to have....
get 2 pieces of square tube or round tube that are wider than your cab just by a lil bit.. then weld them to the bottom of your frame rails.. then cut your floor and drop the body so it sets on the tubes.. then it will lay rocker..you wont be crushing your rocker but will lay even with your frame... if you lay frame... good luck
well i need the info in a dimension, so i can adjust my frame jig since i built a new frame, and jig from a stock frame to locate the bodymounts.... i was thinkin it was 2 5/8 or 2 3/4.....
Hey Cris, the cab drops unevenly. There's close to 1/4" difference between the front and rear cab mounts. (front dropping more)
I measured out 3 1/4" of drop on the front cab brackets, and measured right at 3" for the rear mounts. Can't really find a decent low profile shot of Trey's truck. You can kind of see how the rocker lays in this picture. \/
gee wilikers... i'll just put a piece of tubing across the rocker and measure each bodymount, and the bushing, then do alittle math and come up with a positive answer!
