Im getting ready to stock floor my hardbody. and just have a few questions before i start choppin.

1. how much can i go down without cutting into the floor? i want to lay flat rocker, no pinch.

2. i know with the mazda you have to Z the frame a little bit, will this be needed?

3. the tranny mount is going down, do i need to lower the rest of the motor to keep the angle right.

thanks for the help. oh yeah, im setting it up for 20-22 combo.

2.75" will lay rocker, with pinch bent up ...
you will have to cut the tranny tunnel , and lift it up some .. not much tho.
and yes , you still need to z the front of the frame
why r u lowering your tranny mount? dont need to .. just section the tunnel like mention earlier....

good luck ... have fun

Z the frame to the drop your doing...
so if your doing 2.75 drop on the cab , do the same on the Z ..

also , i usually drop the bed 1/4" - 1/2" lower then the cab .. then just shim it up ... cause sometimes the bed sits off from the factory , and then you can correct it...

matt, he's thinking Z means moving the front suspension up like you do on yota's and older fullsize chevy's.

you dont have to 'z' the front of a nissan, you DO have to drop your frame horns.

I am doing a stock floor on mine and with the weak nissan front suspension I would Z it just so you dont bend the control arms and stuff if you ever decide to drag it.

yeah thats what i ment, Zing the whole front suspension. i knew you had to drop the horns down. alright, im on track then. thanks.

Well i know my frontier is laying frame and my control arms and the crossmember that goes across is all worn out and needs a replacment. which really sucks. That is why when I do my yota front swap I am Z'ing it so nothing touches the ground.
