well i have bin thinkin about doin a bodydrop on my mazda that i drive every day & i wanted to now whats the best way to do it so i can keep the heater

cutting below all the heating ducts is your best bet if your doing a traditional cut floor bd.
Im doing a stock floor on mine, and looks like I will have enough clearance on the trans tunnel to not have to raise it. In my opinion the stock floor is worth the extra effort, and the location of the heater core on mazda's is friggen dope.

I cut the transmission tunnel and lowered it. Theres about 3" of room between the transmission and the tunnel.



Everything fit back in like I didn't even touch it, except the carpet. For that reason, and headroom since I couldn't fit back in that truck, I like the stock floor idea. It looks like there is enough room under the Mazdas to stock floor it without cutting the floor in any area.
