Will a s10 lay with just upper SD control arms and stock spindles? If so..whats needed for the stock lowers to work?

All depends on your wheels size dude.If you are keeping the stock lowers they need to be dehumped to lay. The uppers only solve the balljoint binding issues. they dont give you any drop really. You are gonna run into serious fab work with the stock LCAs and stock spindles before your upper balljoints bind.I would definitely get either LCAs or drop spindles. You are gonna have some camber issues and alot of cutting and modding of the lower arms (stepping up the balljoints etc) if you are trying to lay on any decent sized wheel on stock lower arms.

My truck is on 245/35r20s and I'm running SD uppers and lowers. I have it set up with stock spindles right now and its like 3/4" from laying. I could just cut down the cups to lay but I'm just gonna throw my drop spindles back in and run a taller cup instead .

we stepped my lowers 1 1/4" and re angled the upper balljoints, not much camber & it lays hard on a 255/35/20. But they sure are ugly compared to the SD tubulars
