Anyone,

If you can help or have an idea let me know. My truck is a 91 Ranger bodydrop is traditional, truck has dreambeams (before you say it yes i am aware that dreambeams suck) has new tranny xmember and radius arm xmembers. Wheels in the front are 17x7 Boyd Coddington Magnetos with 4.5 inches of backspacing. Front fenders have no lip left. Can I beams be successfully shortened? Can the brackets that the ends mount to be lenghtened? I need about an inch on both sides for the wheels to camber out when the truck is raised without hitting the front fenders. Wheels tuck fine with truck is completely down.

This truck has the same beams and the same size wheels as well as same backspacing..http://www.cardomain.com/ride/547733

Any Idea's???

Since dreambeams are cast, it might be best to modify the brackets that they bolt to. By adjusting the brackets an inch inwards, it might affect the radius arm travel as well as the tie rod length. The radius arm mount might have to be moved outwards to compensate as well. It sounds like a lot of work.

just change to a yota front clip, which is well worth it

Have you tried the aftermarket camber bushings? You can get them at napa and I believe you can get them up to like 4 degrees more adjustment than stock. I'm not sure exactly what your problem is, an inch is alot. But it might be something to try before you do all that work.

you need diff offset wheels. my 18s had a 5 in back spacing and still rubbed my fenders till i rolled them. dream beams are not cast.
