New Front Frame Clip or Z'n The Frame..?

Well i made the mistake of buyin a damn Ford Ranger with the Torsion bar Suspension.. Its currently bagged and layes the Engine cross member but i wanna go lower.. Can you Z the Frame on this Model of the Ranger enough to lay the frame but yet not push the motor threw the hood..? and is there anything that needs to be lengthend like radiator hoses or wireing..? Am i gonna have to make a bigger tunnel for the Tranny to go under the cab..? or should i go with a Yoda front frame clip.? Any help would be greatly appriciated..

What year ranger has torsion bars?

I think the 98+ Ranger Edge 2WD was the only one that came with torsions. A standard 2WD would have had coils.

edges came about after 2000 if your wanting to redoo it you can go with a yota clip or if you want to stay with ford you can get a control arm setup out of any 98-00 2wd ranger

Its and 06 Ranger Sport.. Yea i never thought that the Sport model would have the Torsion Bar Set up.. I found a guy last night on here "laynLowEdge" that has actually Z'd his frame but also did a body drop and the motor sticks up bout 3 or 4 inches past the hood..? But i'm not planning on body droping it so i dunno if it will work without cutting the hood or not..

my brother is doin a 00 ranger and he is goin to a yota clip and has his factory ranger clip he needs to get rid of..Z that clip on there.....as far as i know plans are to just throw i out and sell the arms....so you may be able to get it cheap....where are you located since that will be the best determination if it is doable for you...if any questions his email is lwrngr@yahoo.com
