well i trying to decide if i want to bag my hatchback or leave the air cylinders what is everyone using for straight axels for the rear of the 92-95 honda hatchbacks or can i just make one using my existing stuff and would i have to get rid of my back seat

i may have to check that out still trying to see if i can make my spindles for the front only i have to worry about is the hub itself

Ive never done a honda but i know that the older civic hatchback (85-86) have a solid axle with coil springs and shocks. It would probably be a lil narrower than your year which would be good for tuckin big wheels.

I was going to use a 84-87 Civic axle on my wagon before I sold it. It would be really simple that way.

I dont know if you know of a good machine shop or are friends with a machinest, a friend and i were building a 95 civic for someone we know and ended up just building our own axle. Ended up being much easier, i just had a buddy of mine machine the ends and then welded them up to the tube. IMO its much cleaner looking then any axle you could pull form another car. Just unbolt you stock spindle in the rear and it all bolts in.

Most volkswagens up throught the mk3's had 4 on 100 and a straight axle, plus they have disc brakes on the GTi's and they are very abundant. Anything from rabbits( golf 1) cabriolets, golf 2 85 - 92, golf 3 ( not vr-6 ) corrado with a g60, scirocco...
