I saw that truck at HeatWave but didn't notice. I'll hafta look. Actually on my application a Watts would be way more trouble and not be as good a fit for my application.

You could probably use the telescoping sliding section of a driveshaft to make it work. Those slide but don't have slop to them and are greasable for long term use. You can go to a driveline shop and purchase just the slined shaft and then the collar piece and weld up a wishbone using that as the sliding piece, or buy a used driveline and cut out the section you need.

^^^ good call.

Cody- what I mean by stiff, is that the pivots are non compliant, like Derin. Not eurethane or rubber.

Max. I don't know why but when you said stiff I thought stiff as in how easily it swivels not how well it resists side to side movement.. The brain is funny like that I guess. Robbie, the sliding driveshaft is what originally got me thinking about this. I just haven't had time to go to my favorite salvage facility to look at some. We also have a great driveline shop here that sells all the components seperate so it would be easy to get what ever I find would work. By the way,I love your panel. I followed it on your website during the build-up. Thanks for the help guys.

I can't see why you would need to run a telescoping wishbone in an instance like that. There is plenty of room for a traditional wishbone 4-link or even a triangulated 4-link.

Am I missing something?

don't get me wrong... I love those trucks! I was just wondering why you spent the time on the telescoping wishbone.
