going from nitrogen to compressor

NITROGEN IS THE SHIT!

I hate listening to compressors and waiting for air to build up only to be able to hop a couple of inchs......(run both just in case) "Lost Cause"

I started off with nitrogen had it for about a year then got tired of driving 15 miles to go get tanks refilled and shelling out 40 bucks everytime; so I went ahead and bought me 2 420 viairs. still have the tanks but I only use them when I don't feel like waiting. so now both my tanks dates are expired and now I have to get them checked, PAIN IN THE @SS"

no complains about nitrogen especially when they come to my shop to swap my bottles out....i did have compressors for a bit but i just couldnt stand the buzzing noise

i was going to use nitrogen but decided to go ahead with the viair 480 and a 7 gallon tank i dont like waiting for air but it beats spending cash everytime u run out......why dont u run nitrogen and then a compressor and tank for back up.....But nitrogen is the shit when u wanna act a fool

well if youre just gonna use the truck for show or not a daily driver cool. just make sure you dont have any leaks.... and dont blow the regulator... other than that i run nitrogen one one truck and compressor on the other... my latest project has both... a k5 in the bed and 2 air zeniths underneath... so it really dont matter

So, if I were to try the compressor thing and go with a 12 gallon tank, what compressor setup would everyone recommend?

ken just do 2 5 gallon tanks with 2 viair 450s or 480s...
12 gallon tank going to fit under your truck?

i would do 2 viair 480s 0r 450s and 2 5 gallon tanks and i would not run any thing other than viair... thomas sucks so does air zenith.... and i like to run mine without a pressure switch just a gauge and a manual switch so i could turn it off at whatever pressure i want

If you have a 12 gallon tank, it'll take fiorever to fill up. An 8 gallon tank w/ 2 Viair 480s is fine.

If you wanna run Nitro as well as comps, make sure you use the Viair leader hose from your comp to your tank (or put a check valve between your tank and comp). I had a buddy that ran a couple Thomas' and backfed 250psi into his comps. Blew out the comp. No Bueno Vato.

I run Comps. I hate havin to wait, but it sure beats waitin on the side of the road when you're TOTALLY out of air and can"t make more! Kinda Like sking on snow and all of a sudden, it melts and you have to walk the rest of the way down the slope!

im running 2 380s with 3 3gallon tanks and a 304 bottle of nitrogen. $27 to get it filled at praxair!
